At StayBack.ai, we are a specialized trucking safety company providing high-visibility, copywrite protected custom safety decals designed for dump trucks and other hauling vehicles. Our decals, founded on designs by Dallas cartoonist Charles King, are engineered to maximize legibility from 100 feet.
Born From a Need for Safety
In the early 80's, KING ART & SCREEN PRINTING AND SIGN COMPANY was formed by DALAS CARTOONIST CHARLES KING.
When Charles king made a sales call on a small dump truck company, the owner said he needed help becuase rocks were coming out of his trucks breaking windshields of cars following his trucks. Since his Dad owned and operated his own truck, Charles King wanted to help truckers. He designed copywrited & printed these decals. The decals popularity spread, and they were sold nationally and even in to Canada. The company name was changed to Stayback.ai

The Challenge - Visibility and Versatility
The company owner had very specific requirements for the decals:
Clear From 100 Feet
The message had to be instantly legible from a distance to be effective. To achieve this, Charles designed the decals with bold, 2-inch-high letters, the precise size needed to be seen from 100 feet away.
Fit Any Tailgate
The decals needed to fit the trucks' panelized tailgates, which came in various sizes. Some were 12 by 18 inches, while others were as small as 6 by 18 inches.
The Solution, Ingenuity in Design
To meet these needs, Charles King created a versatile design that could be cut in half, allowing it to fit both large and small panels without losing its powerful message. This functional and ingenious design became the foundation of StayBack.ai. We carry that same dedication to creativity and safety forward today, ensuring every decal we produce delivers unmatched quality, visibility, and durability.
The decals work on roll off containers, trailors, dumptrucks, and are used in scrap metal industries, road building, gravel hauling, demolition, and construction.
